What would have been a four game sweep over the Mets by the San Francisco Giants was blown by a missed call by home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi.
A critical play at home was shown by television replays to be a clear call that should have given the Giants the game but instead, the game was handed to the Mets.
If called properly that would have been Met’s closer Francisco Rodriguez’s fifth blown save and the fourth straight loss to the Giants! Honestly, for saving Rodriguez from the embarrassment and the Mets from that bad of a sweep, who could blame the ump? Sometimes your heart just reaches out for the underdog.
After 10 innings, the Mets were more than happy to take their 4-3 victory over the Giants.
Forbes released its list of top paid musicians for 2010 and gotta say, quite a few surprises there. U2 came in number one with $130 million earned, but the interesting part is that the Top 5 was dominated by artists of the 70’s and 80’s. AC/DC came in second with $114 million and fourth place was taken by Bruce Springsteen with $68.7 million.
Only one new artist was able to hit the Top 10 and it was none other than, you guessed it . . . Lady Gaga! Surely no shock to anyone but what was rather noteworthy is that Beyonce Knowles hit the list a full 3 spots and $20 million ahead of hubby Jay-Z. Wonder how Hova feels about that one?
Welp, sorry to say it Drake but is there anyone left who hasn’t heard the new album?
The much anticipated album, Thank Me Later leaked to the internet and streets two weeks before it hit retail but Drake hasn’t even broken sweat over the matter.
Drake tweeted, ““I gave away free music for years, so we’re good over here … just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY! JUNE 15th!”
Well isn’t that sweet? With appearances by Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and others, let’s just hope the album is worthy of being the soundtrack to all of our summers.
The first time around, the big screen version of the hit TV series “Sex and the City” grossed more than US $415 million worldwide. So naturally, Sarah Jessica Parker was all about playing Carrie Bradshaw the second time around in the big screen sequel, “Sex and the City 2” which premiered May 24th in New York City.
Director and writer Michael Patrick King said the movie is all about fun, friendship and fashion. I mean I personally trust him and am so pumped to go see it myself. I don’t think King will let us down, because he hasn’t thus far. Love the beautiful ladies of Sex & The City.

It is official, Cavaliers’ Coach Mike Brown is fired. He was let go right before a midnight deadline Sunday night because of his inability to win a NBA championship in his five years coaching. Brown getting fired right before this deadline was so Cleveland could avoid having to pay him his $4.5 million salary for this upcoming season.
Owner Dan Gilbert states “After a long and deep analysis of all of the factors that led to the disappointing early ends to our playoff runs over the past two seasons, we concluded that it was time for the Cavaliers to move in a different direction.”
Ouch. Sorry Cleveland, first Lebron and now Coach Brown ..is it time to find a new team to root for?
In a recent interview with NY Times, M.I.A. praised and spoke so very highly of Madonna. This is obviously understandable, because who could deny how amazing Madonna truly is. However, M.I.A. then felt the need to continue on with the interiew, bashing Lady Gaga. And this is definitely not the first time M.I.A. felt the need to speak down about Gaga. Listen, we accept M.I.A.’s crazy personality, but why does it always have to come to bashing Gaga? Here’s a little clip of the interview:
“With our video, we were really copying ‘Telephone.’ Both our videos are road movies. We kill people, and they kill people. They start out in a prison, and we start out in a squat, hunting people down. I can’t talk about GaGa anymore. All I’ll say is, it’s upsetting when babies say ga-ga now. It used to be innocent. Now, they’re calling her name. You can’t really say that GaGa is culturally a change. Madonna was truly unique.”
