According to Reuters, researchers have now increased their prediction of Atlantic hurricanes for the 2010 season to 10 in total, five of them being major.
The Colorado State University hurricane forecasting team stated that there is a 76% probability of a major hurricane making its way to land on the U.S. coast. This number has gone up huge amounts from the previous predictions.
As if the Gulf Coast needed anything else to try to handle when they’re already trying to deal with the oil spill up on their shores. They’ve been through so much these past couple of years and this increased chance of a hurricane hitting them is really hard for many of them to handle, understandably so.
