Soooooo looks like Charlie Sheen will plead no contest to misdemeanor assault and serve 30 days in jail. He was left with the decision to either serve jail time or get straight probation, but in his opinion, probation was just too risky. Charlie will go to Aspen next Monday, enter a no contest plea to 3rd degree assault and immediately begin serving time. Also, the felony menacing charge against him will be dismissed.
Charlie will be sentenced to 30 days but with good time credit it will be end up being lowered to 17 days, and 2 of those 17 days will be minimal. Annnnnd, once he completes his time in jail, he’ll be a free man without any probation time. I guess he made the right choice? But what I want to know is why he thought probation was, “too risky”. Seems a little strange doesn’t it? Hopefully everything works out for him.
